At Taskenator we want you to stay safe and avoid being scammed. Here are some of the most common scam warning signs and ways to detect them. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and the items are not always a definite indicator of a scam, however, it is usually best to avoid them regardless.
An employer is requesting payment before giving you the project. This is in no way permitted - Taskenator is a free service and we do not allow charges for task opportunities or bidding.
Your employer is requesting to pay you outside of Taskenator, e.g. through Bitcoin, bank transfer, or cash. This is not only a violation of our Terms and Conditions, but it is not a safe or guaranteed method of payment and can result in numerous fees from financial institutions.
The project requires the use of your personal details or documents - for obvious reasons, this is a big no-no, unless it is expressly required by law like when a task requires a contractor license or qualification certificate. Please be vigilant in providing personal details where possible.
A tasker requests payment before work is provided. We understand that in some cases, such as construction, materials may need to be purchased. However, in most cases, payment should be provided after work has been done, not before, be this by milestone or at the end of a project.
Both the tasker and client may send a request for task cancellation.
Task cancellation requests can be sent anytime provided that reasons for cancellation are valid.
A user must respond within 3 days upon receiving a task cancellation request. If a response is not made within 3 days, the task will automatically be cancelled in our system.
Taskenator strictly encourages users to sort out issues between both parties first before proceeding to a dispute resolution. But if a user declines a cancellation request, they can settle it via the dispute resolution process.
If a dispute arises concerning a project or the quality of service, Users may raise a dispute using the Dispute form.
Users are required to be logged in on their account to be able to raise a dispute. After logging in, click support at the bottom of the site and you will be redirected to https://support.taskenator.com. Once redirected, select the Dispute button and then click generate dispute. This will load Taskenator’s Dispute Form. The form must be completed fully and accurately to the best of your knowledge with as much information as possible.
Users will be asked to fill out all this information regarding the dispute.
Task ID
The date that the Issue started and occurred
Role (Customer or Tasker)
Name of the person involved with the task
Percentage of correct task completion
Write the detailed account of what happened with the task
If there is a missing or damaged part of the project, include it as well as the value of the item
The resolution being sought should also be included
Proofs or documentation for the dispute can be uploaded as part of specifying the issue for the dispute.
